Nokia 5 Detailed Review

Nokia 5 review: Design and build quality

Nokia 5 has a physical design with aluminum unibody, knock the phone or two should stay alive, the device is too thin, and its weight is only 160 grams, 8mm thick, which is a light weight for 5.2in device.A fingerprint sensor is integrated into the Home button, a nano-SIM tray and a MicroSD card expansion slot on the opposite side. The latter lets you add an additional 256 GB of storage over the internal 16 GB. Below the device is a micro-USB charging port, and at the top, there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack. You will get a front camera of 8 megapixels, and the 13 megapixel shooter will flash on the back. The phone isn’t waterproof, water-resistant nor dustproof, and its 3,000mAh battery cannot be swapped out.

Nokia 5 review: Software & Performance

Nokia has gone the purist route. The Nokia 5 runs a completely stock version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat, so there’s no bloatware or unfamiliar overlays to deal with.Nokia 5 there’s an eight-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 CPU and 2GB of RAM. I’d have liked to see more RAM included to better deal with multitasking. In the multi-platform Geekbench 4 benchmark.

Nokia 5 review: Display

The Nokia 5 has a 5.2in HD (1,280 x 720) IPS display, topped with Corning Gorilla Glass.
The screen is extremely bright. There is also good color coverage in the IPS display, which is impressive 92.8% of the sRGB gamut color space.

Nokia 5 review: Camera

The Nokia 5’s rear camera is a 13-megapixel model with a f/2.0 lens.the Nokia 5 camera does suffer a little from lens distortion.

Nokia 5 review: Battery life

Battery life is fantastic 3,000mAh battery cannot be swapped out. Nokia 5 lasted 14 hours 53 minutes in our Video Rondown Test, so it will get you through a day of use.

About Nokia

Nokia used to be one of the world’s biggest mobile phone manufacturers but it fell behind with the advent of iPhone and Android smartphones. In 2014, Nokia’s Devices and Services division was sold to Microsoft. In 2016, Finnish company HMD Global bought a part of Microsoft’s feature phone business and has a licensing agreement that allows it to make smartphones under the Nokia brand.
